Piano Concert with Oda Voltersvik

In celebration of International Women's Day 2025, pianist Oda Voltersvik presents a concert featuring lesser-known and underrepresented Nordic female composers, including Elfrida Andrée, Laura Netzel, Agathe Backer Grøndahl, Inger Bang Lund, and Pauline Hall.

Oda Hjertine Voltersvik – “(…) an extraordinary Scandinavian artist!” (Per Brevig, Musicians Club New York) – has performed at several important international venues, including Carnegie Hall & Scandinavia House (NYC), Wigmore Hall & St Martin in the Fields (London), “Palermo Classica” Festival, The Norwegian Opera and Ballet, and from 2014-2024, she performed as a resident pianist at the Edvard Grieg Museum “Troldhaugen,” Bergen. As a soloist and chamber musician, she has performed at renowned music venues and festivals internationally, including solo tours and solo engagements in the USA. Voltersvik was awarded the State Artist Grant for 2021-2022. Her CD releases “Firebird,” “Neo,” and “Khoreia” have been very well received internationally. She is the winner of the Bradshaw £ Buono International Piano Competition (2017) and was a finalist in the Jaques Samuels Intercollegiate Competition in London (2016). After her education in London, with a “Master in Performance” from the Royal College and an “Artist Diploma” from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance (with distinction), Oda has, in addition to solo concerts, been the project leader for the Volt Ensemble, an active member of the Volt&Potenza duo, and arranged the concert season Volt Classics in Bergen. The years 2023-2026 include several tours in the USA, solo engagements with orchestras, festival performances, and other engagements.
