Cello consert
This year, Jonatan Kraft has brought a program where Bach's evergreen cello music meets Britten's innovative cello suites, along with an expansive and experimental piece by Krzysztof Penderecki.
This summer, the audience will be taken on a journey starting with a contemporary piece. In Capriccio by Krzysztof Penderecki, the cello is used in extreme ways, and the audience will get to experience musical tones that few can fathom are hiding within the body of the cello. The music will be an excellent display of the versatility of the instrument. We then travel back in time, to Benjamin Britten’s first cello suite, a modern classic with a vast expression. Finally, we journey further back in history, to the timeless appeal of Bach’s cello suite in C-major.
The concert will finish off with a few musical surprises for the audience to cherish.
